Addressing Anxiety And Concern Within A Stress Management Method
Waiting and distress are general sources of stress. Financial problems, health and wellbeing issues, family concerns, and a realm of different situations, can generate an unhealthy volume of stress, when not addressed in a healthy stress managing persuasion.
A person may choose to make do with these types of situations in a variety of healthy or damaging ways. From denying the problem completely, to attempting to "beat a retreat" or "hide" from the obstacle, an individual's specific set of stress managing skills can either increase or decrease the scale of stress they undergo.
Denial is a conventional pattern of stress managing that plenty people apply to deal with life issues. Typically denial is a "coping skill" used by individual in situations which present an unbearable sum of stress.
This may happen in emotionally unstable personality families, domestic brutality relationships, even in somebody facing severe illness or death. A person in denial plainly says "All is very well" and "Nothing is wrong."
Attempting to rush away or hide due to a stressful life episode is noticeable in those who use drugs or alcohol to "escape", as well as those who simply "avoid" the problem. The person who works a bit much, or the adolescent who stays away from family for days at a time, are people attempting to escape the obstacle.
Procrastination can be a sign of worry and anxiety. Dread of "what will materialize" if the person does admit the dilemma, can lead to "putting off the inevitable." This type of behavior also contributes to anxiety, as the unseen and unknown are often larger, in the mind, than in the instance.
Confronting issues head on may be burdensome, but as you see it is the healthiest way to manage situations that produce worry, terror or anxiety. Getting answers, instead of speculating, and addressing problems, instead of denying, hiding or running away from them, is the only way to diminish the hardship caused by these types of situations.
