You will find nothing at all better in my point of view than being pregnant. Enjoying the infant and raising the child is enjoyable and great but the emotions that come with pregnancy are just so amazing. The eager expectation, the excitement, the love and the unknowing can all be so stimulating.

I think one of my favorite tasks to do while pregnant is trying to get the nursery ready. It helps me to remain occupied so the pressure of waiting doesn't overcome me. When I start planning the nursery I often start with the bigger things first. My hubby and I put the crib together and get that situated in a corner. After that we put together the dresser which goes near the crib and then the rocking chair or recliner which I make an effort to put near a window.

The moment the bigger items are taken care of I start selecting accessories that I want in there. Generally I try to find bedding, a mobile, a changer for on top of the dresser and stuff to hang up on the wall.

The last thing I look for is a nursery lamp. nursery lamps are so critical for late night feedings. They provide enough lighting to nurse or bottle-feed but not so much light that it will keep your child awake. Typically I try to purchase a lamp that can stay with them for a while. My son has a blue lamp with motorcycles and cars and my girls both have pink lamps one with butterflies and the other with a ballerina and they love their pink lamps.

The most important thing to keep in mind with your nursery is to make sure it is a quiet and comforting place for you and your baby.
